Chris Sargent belted a pair of home runs and drove in 5 runs to lead Southern Miss over UCONN for a second-straight, one-run victory at Pete Taylor Park Saturday afternoon with a 7-6 decision.

It was Sargent’s first two homers as a Golden Eagle as both were hit off the Tradition of Excellence billboard in leftfield. The series concludes with an 11 am contest Sunday.

Southern Miss head baseball coach Scott Berry, 1B Christopher Sargent and relief pitcher Garrett Ramsey all spoke about the win following the game. Hear what they had to say right here. Video is courtesy of Southern Miss Athletics.
