WATCH: MSU’s Rogers, Duncan felt good about preparation for #1 UGA, lament loss

An electric, 63-yard punt return for a touchdown by Zavion Thomas sent Mississippi State into the locker room at halftime with loads of momentum, but #1 Georgia ultimately pulled away after the intermission as MSU fell 45-19 at Davis Wade Stadium on Saturday.

Thomas’ punt return pulled State to within a score at 17-12 in the waning moments of the second quarter. However, Georgia scored 28 of the game’s next 35 points to defeat MSU.
