WATCH: Miss State’s Howland reacts to Ole Miss loss

Defense did the trick in each win this season and it did so again on Tuesday night, as the Ole Miss Rebels pulled away in the 2nd half and came away with a 64-46 road win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Humphrey Coliseum.

Devontae Shuler led the way for Ole Miss with 22 points while DJ Stewart lead MSU with 18 points. Ole Miss has now won 11 of the last 15 against MSU, and the the 46 points surrendered tonight were the fewest the Rebels have allowed in the rivalry since Feb. 25, 1996.

Mississippi State head basketball coach Ben Howland met with the media after the game to discuss the defeat. Video is courtesy of Hail State Athletics.
