WATCH/ICYMI: #2 Mississippi State Baseball Falls to #1 Arkansas in Series Opener

A trio of early home runs for #1 Arkansas held up as #2 Mississippi State dropped the series opener, 8-2 on Friday (March 26) evening at Dudy Noble Field.

The Razorbacks scored its first 4 runs on solo home runs and staked out to a 5-0 lead after 4 innings. State used a Rowdey Jordan RBI single in the 5th to get on the board, before the Razorbacks struck for two in the 7th and one in the 9th. Lane Forsythe drove in the second MSU run in the 9th inning.

The two teams will lock up for game 2 of the series Saturday at 2pm. After game one last night, Mississippi State head baseball coach Chris Lemonis met with the media to recap the loss. Video is courtesy of Hail State Athletics.
