WATCH: Bulldogs roll, prepare for Thanksgiving night Egg Bowl battle with Ole Miss

Mississippi State scored its most points in a game in more than 4 years on Saturday as MSU rolled to a 56-7 victory over East Tennessee State to conclude the home portion of the 2022 schedule.

Bulldog quarterback Will Rogers threw for 301 yards and 5 touchdowns to lead the State offensive attack, becoming just the 10th Southeastern Conference quarterback to eclipse 10,000 career passing yards in the process. Cornerback Emmanuel Forbes collected his 6th career pick-six – setting a new SEC and FBS record – to highlight a strong day for the Dawg defense.

Mississippi State wraps up the regular season with its annual contest against instate rival Ole Miss. The Bulldogs and Rebels meet again in the Battle for the Golden Egg on Thanksgiving night, Thursday, November 24th at 6PM at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford. The game will be televised by ESPN.

Ole Miss has won 3 of the last 5, including two in a row, and 4 of the last 5 if you count the vacated Egg Bowl win by MSU in 2018.

MSU head coach Mike Leach met with the media after the game. Hear what he had to say right here. Video is courtesy of Hail State Athletics.
